The Angel of the Lord came down and Glory shone around.
Fear not said He for mighty dread had seized their trouble mind.
Glad Tidings of great Joy I bring to you and all mankind.."

I Found my Head :))

I have been on a short break to the mainland, catching up with family and grandchild.
While on a shopping trip I found it , and only $10:00.Yes , my head, I have been hunting everywhere for one.. So I came home very pleased.
I love this hat with the flower.

and another one with flower.
The Chef and I came down with the dreaded Flu so not a lot of crochet has been happening..
I did manage to make a couple of bags while I was away, which the family now have :))

This bag is a little larger, I find the slightly wider handles work well for larger items.
I have orders for the bags now, so I am pleased at last we can now use our cotton bags instead of those dreaded plastic bags...
Before you go,
Check out bead knitting and crochet leave a comment and you may be the recipient of a giveaway.
I would like to thank Kerrie over at Kerrie's Corner for her lovely words of encouragement..
See you at your place :))

It Started with a message on FaceBook.

The dolls at the child minding centre didn't have any clothes..   Oh dear... can't have that .. Sooooo.
singlet, undies and hat.
Into the craft room I ran, rummaging through yarn and looking for needles and a pattern or two . I found some very old patterns and started knitting :))  AND..
.......It was on  Aussie Maria's blog I was reading about all those cute little patterns for babies and it struck me to make a" hug me tight "for the doll..

pretty cute .
It was so easy to make and looks so cute in pink.

I crocheted the cap, just a smaller version of an adults pattern..  it was a lot of fun . So at least now one of the dolls has clothes... :))
Cheers everyone, and thank you for stopping by and leaving lovely comments.. I will see you at your place :))

Slippers ........

Children's slippers.. crocheted in synthetic yarn 12ply
There is a lovely pattern for these slippers here.. I have made a couple of pairs adding on  more rows for my long foot :)) Check them out you will be surprised at how lovely this blog is :))

Adult slippers crocheted in wool using 8ply..
multicolour synthetic yarn (R)8ply 4mm hook..
They are so easy to make and a lot of fun..

Remember this project from a much earlier posting??
Well I have put off crocheting
the sleeves as they are a pain to crochet, to bulky. I ask myself, why did I choose this pattern??  I liked the look of it and thought it would be a breeze. Its like knitting socks in 4ply a never ending WIP.. you have to make 2 LOL......

I have ripped it out so many times, I am thinking of making a pattern on the sleeves that , to be honest , I can finish this winter ..  maybe a diamond pattern up the centre of the sleeve using the cluster st.. What do you think??
Spring is in the air:))

The chef is playing his guitar in the back ground and singing, what a joy :) An old rocker from way back :))

Before I go I want to say "Hello"to my friend Tina from Crochet and Orchids  .. We are thinking of you :))

Happy crafting everyone :))

Happy days :))

Yes I am like a kid in a toy shop, my parcel of Bendigo wool has arrived, and I am loving it :))
The pattern is for knitting, but......I like the collar on the jacket.. 8ply in 200 gram balls excellent  to work with and not many of those annoying joins..:))
I prefer to make my own jackets or cardies, as they fit better and the right colour.. Very satisfying to make your own garments, don't you agree ??

2 more knee or baby rugs completed, I had a few blue granny squares left over 36 in all,  decided to make a small rug, the variegated rug is a vst pattern , very easy & quick to make. It took 2 balls of 8ply synthetic yarn.
close up of v st :))
The sun has been shining again today, the chef and I have been busy in the garden.. The weeds grow no matter the weather..
Our first crop of peas are in, and covered with netting to stop the cats digging in the garden and the birds taking the seed..
                                       That's it from me ..
Enjoy your weekend where ever you are :))

Knit for Charity Blankets and the Chef :))

Hi Everyone,
Its raining here at the moment and its getting a little dark..  Thought I would share a little of what has been happening in my world ....
I have finished and passed on to St Giles these blankets..
This blanket was made from  7" squares crochet together with variegated yarn and the border in 8ply baby yarn..
The blue granny you will see in my last blog..

Now to the chef of the house...
Not only does he make our cheeses, he is now making sausages, and I can tell you , they are so tastey.. No more bought snags in this family.
No artificial colour , or fill, just fresh herbs from the garden..
But wait there is more.... lol
Vanilla slice, home made pastry, what more could a girl ask for :))
Spoilt??? yes I think I am...
Have a great week everyone, I'll be stopping by your blog to see what you have been up to  :)) Cheers!
