On the Hook and Machine

Hello and Welcome to the New Year of Crafting..

I am so pleased with this lovely light and soft shawl crocheted in Wendy Peter Pan DK. on a 5 mm hook.. The pattern I found on Ravelry Free SmoothFox's beginners round ripple .

These bibs were such a delight to make, easy and made in a couple of hours... 8ply cotton,( which has been in my stash for years... I think it was Patons..) So soft and a delight to crochet.. 4.50mm hook.. I will do my best over the next week to write the free pattern out for you all ...

OK a little bit of sewing now.. :)) If you haven't read this blog go over to it now ... It is such an inspiration.. Lizzie
I like to practice a pattern before I make my project , so here is a pic of the baby tumble block .. I use a felt board to place the pattern on before sewing.. These are made out of scraps of material .. They say to keep the first of everything you make, well I know I get a huge giggle out of mine lol..
What to do with all those practice pieces ?? Why have them in the cupboard where they cannot be seen?? Here is what I have done..
What do you think??

A small section of garden of T&J a very cool area in this hot weather..
This year I am still finishing projects from time gone by.. and will update as they are completed...
Happy crafting....:))
