Crochet KOBO Sleeve.

I have had a lot of reading time with my lovely KoBo, you know one of those e-readers...A gift from YS and DIL.. down load the book and away you go, to find a quiet place to lose yourself in the story :)).  So I thought it needed a sleeve to sit in..

The members on Australiacrochet were discussing the Sharp hook, for when you need to go through material and there are no holes...This addy was in a message so I thought I would give it a go as I love to crochet edges on hankies.. I bought a couple to try it out..(hankies that is :))

Little pattern book came with it..

Sewing is another passion of mine, with the couple of colder rainy days we have had made it a pleasure to be able to try out a couple of patterns I have never made ... Well this one was in the to hard basket until I found a Tutorial on Youtube... Flying Geese  I made a sampler ,so easy.. One seam ... I couldn't believe it.. Of course now I am on the hunt for the right material to start my on quilt..

This rug is being crocheted from left over baby wool.. It is a good project to have when we are at the block..

Then there is this very fine hook... I was looking at embroidery on youtube and found this hook.It is called a Tambour hook and is used in beading..
Right up my ally...:)) Think it may take a while for me to come any where near close to the beautiful clothing made in France.. But I can dream :))

Then I found This..... Hour Glass square made from a tube of material.. Well I just had to try it... Loving it... Maybe a table runner coming up..Isn't the material lovely. Beautiful pansy. :))
I also have another project that I am part way through making strips..... finished them today.. I love to use Jelly Rolls by Moda and this one is 1.1/2" wide.. Honey Buns is the name , purchased in Melbourne.. :))

Paradise and a little crochet

A little piece of Paradise .... My paradise, when I feel the need to unwind..:)) They were sunny days and free from all that city noise..
It was so quiet, the sheep sounded like they were in the same room ..Perfect..:))

 I have been hunting the net for a pattern that only took 1 ball of yarn..
Sure there are hats & scarfs out there, but I wanted something different..
So after a few nights of hunting, I decided on a purse.. :)) This is for my partner on Australia crochet..  Crocheted in 8ply (100gr) Magnum
,4.50 hook and a small piece of fabric for lining ..

It could carry crochet , knitting, or small sewing items.

 I know she loves all three ..
