They looked so lovely I had to make a couple.
I crocheted mine in an 8ply Bendigo cotton and used a 4mm hook..
A couple of crochet coasters.. Made in 4ply cotton and a 3mm hook..
We are lucky to be having fabulous weather here in Tas, my thoughts and prayers go out to Mainland Australia.. still fighting floods in Victoria. Bush fires in WA.. Take care..

i do like your shortie version Pat - they look so elegant in the white cotton - been trying not to order from Bendigo - it could be habit forming !
The coasters remind me of triliums or maybe dogwoods - just superb :)
